Far-Left DEI Consultant Founds Anti-Gun Group in Tennessee

Heather Gee-Thomas

A far-left activist and DEI consultant launched an anti-gun political action committee (PAC).

Heather Gee-Thomas, whose LinkedIn profile describes her as an “Entrepreneur, DE&I Consultant [and] Activist/Advocate (Equality and Justice),” founded the Tennessee Mom PAC.

The “about” section of Gee-Thomas’ LinkedIn page says the following:

Fights for those without a voice to create a more just and equitable world, changing one heart at a time. Building relationships is at the core of Heather’s Success. Bringing people together from diverse, underserved and often overlooked communities for the common good. Together we make the world a better place for all!

The Tennessee Mom PAC is billed as a “grassroots” organization, but Gee-Thomas (pictured above) is an experienced political operator.

She is the mother of a transgender child and testified in 2023 before the Tennessee General Assembly regarding SB 01, a law that bans sex change surgery for minors.

“I testified at the Senate Health and Welfare committee on SB01 – the (anti-)transgender healthcare bill,” she said in a message to supporters on the website of the Glendale United Methodist Church. “We are not through fighting yet. I knew today would be an uphill battle to say the least, but I do this for the kids and all of those who need to know that people are fighting for them and care about them.”

When that law was blocked by a federal judge, Gee-Thomas was interviewed by NewsChannel5.

“My child was born assigned female at birth,” she said.

She said her son suffered from severe mental health issues until coming out as transgender and beginning “the long process of gender-affirming care.”

“Once he started that, things started to get better. He started to look more like he felt inside and how he always felt,” Gee-Thomas said.

Now Gee-Thomas is taking on guns.

“Tennessee MomPAC, a new political action committee formed to fight back against anti-family politicians and policy makers, announced its creation today with the first in a series of ads targeting two members of the Tennessee State House of Representatives for their willful rejection of key gun reform legislation in the wake of the 2023 Covenant School shooting,” says the first press release on the group’s website

The politicians the group is targeting are State Representatives Robert Stevens (R-Smyrna) and Jeff Burkhart (R-Clarksville).

In taking aim at the politicians over guns, Gee-Thomas also accused them of being anti-LGBT.

“Politicians like Reps. Stevens and Burkhart are indicative of the biggest problem at our State House — they’re not listening. They’re not listening to parents — not even those who tragically lost children at Covenant — when it comes to protecting our schools from guns,” she said. “They’re not listening to women who deserve the right to make choices about their own health care. They’re not listening when it comes to protecting our LGBTQ children or putting aside these nonsensical book bans. We’re here to change that.”

  1. Nashville Deplorable

    She’s a man baby!

  2. Dr Ken

She is the true liberal zealot driven to find something to oppose or protest. She will shift causes time and again to whatever is the “flavor of the month”. Other than annoying, these characters accomplish nothing. DEI is dead. Pro Second Amendment citizens have nothing to worry about with this woman as she accomplishes nothing and fails to “move the needle” on any issue. Best thing to do is ignore her, she feeds off publicity, those who fund her need that publicity.

  3. Joe Blow

What a disaster as a mom and now she wants to screw up everyone else’s lives. We do not need her “help”!

  4. Steve Allen

This woman appears to be a text book 21st century liberal. What misguided beliefs drive these people. They are like a cancer working to infect a healthy body.

  5. Steve Farina - level headed conservative

Her daughter may have inherited her mental health problems, so the mom enabled a “transition”. This child abuser (in my opinion) is now going to attempt to organize to take away the legal right of gun possession from YOU! This is insanity on many levels. Worse yet, it is being normalized by many unhinged, or otherwise misinformed, people.
